There are three ways of monitoring offered by Wobot.ai:
- Human Intelligence (HI Tasks)- Humans are in the loop
- Self-viewing - Your team views and tags incidents
- Assisted viewing - Wobot's team views and tags incidents
- Artificial Intelligence (AI Tasks) – AI views and tags incidents
Simple tasks are those tasks that require up to two object-based models for classification and detection. For example, A restaurant owner wants to check if his employees are wearing a hairnet in the kitchen. To detect an object like a hairnet, first, a head-detection has to be done, followed by hairnet detection. In this example, we can see that two object-based classifications and detections happen, one for the head and one for the hairnet.
Complex tasks have three criteria: It requires more than two object-based models for classification and detection. For example, A restaurant owner wants to check if his employees are wearing a hairnet in the kitchen, segregated by colours for different food types. To detect this, first, a head-detection has to be done, then a hairnet, followed by the colour of the hairnet. Here, three object-based detections happen, i.e., a head, a hairnet, and the colour of the hairnet. It has a mix of objects and activity-based models. For example, a retail store manager wants to check if mopping happens at her store at different times. Such a task becomes a mix of objects and activity-based detection. In this task, after the AI detects a human, it will check if the human is holding a mop, after which it will check for the activity (motion) of mopping. In this example, there are two object-based (human and mop) and one activity-based (mopping activity) detection. It has only activity-based detections. This scenario could involve only one activity like raised hands in a bank or multiple activity-based detections.
It is essential for every business to be educated about the process compliances, and hence, we suggest you to contact your Administration or Process Compliance Authority to get clarification.
A ticket generation happens every time there is an instance of noncompliance. For example, you want to see events of facemask noncompliance events at your office. In this example, a ticket will be created each time an employee comes in the camera view without a facemask.
Mobile application is in the pipeline, we will soon let you known once it's rolled out. Alerts and notifications are sent via email and push notifications.

While our AI models can process low light feeds, the detection quality is affected in a low-light environment. We suggest having proper lighting in the areas for the best results.
The minimum requirements for our product are as follows:
- Cameras (with a minimum resolution of 1280 pixels x 720 pixels)
- Stable internet connection (with minimum bandwidth of 1.25 Mbps per camera)
- Public IP address or DDNS setup
- HTTP and RTSP ports should be open
- A desktop or laptop to onboard
- Laptop/Desktop/Android/iOS devices to complete tasks
The following information is required for adding a camera or an NVR-
- Manufacturer name of the Camera or NVR
- Public IP Address or DDNS setup
- HTTP and RTSP ports to be open
- Loging credentials (Username and Password) of the camera or NVR
- Channel ID for a camera, or No. Of Channels supported by NVR
At its core, both NVR and DVR serve the purpose of video recording. The difference between them is how they process video data. DVR (Digital Video Recorder) takes video footage directly from the cameras with the help of the coaxial cable and then begins processing it for recording. Whereas NVR (Network Video Recorder) works to record and save video footage taken from the network that it lives on.
In the DVR, the images are converted from an analog signal into a digital format to be stored on a hard drive. This is the most important part of the chain. The most popular DVR resolution types are -
- CIF DVRs: 360 x 240 (86,400 total pixels)
- D1 DVRs: 720 x 480 (345,600 total pixels)
- 960H DVRs: 960 x 480 (460,800 total pixels)
NVRs and DVRs require different types of cameras as they process video data differently. NVR technology uses IP cameras. These are smart cameras that have advanced hardware to capture and encode video footage. They can also act as standalone cameras, while some also lend support to internal microSD cards when it comes to local recording. DVR technology uses analog cameras and sends signals via a coax cable. They have lower quality but perform well in low light conditions. They also have limited site ranges and don't offer the zoom-in clarity like their IP counterparts.
To change the stream settings of a camera, you need to login into your NVR/DVR settings and configure the settings according to your need.
Wobot checks whether the camera is offline or not for a specified duration of time, and send an alert notification to the provided email address. For other issues, your IT team can always touch base with our support team to resolve the issue.
Our solution works on PTZ cameras, you cannot use the PTZ functionality on our platform.
Currently this option is not available.
You can run as many different models as per your requirement for different task and Use-cases for the same camera.
Both deployments are possible. It is upto the customer preference if they are looking at a CAPEX or an OPEX investment. Disadvantage with edge deployment is that including additional use cases/number of cameras will need additional investment for upgradation of LPU configuration.
Remote access to LPU and atleast 4Mbps speed, Hardware sizing depends upon the count of cameras and the use cases.
Yes, It can be done on client AWS.
The best way to find your RTSP URL is to send a request to your device supplier or manufacturer. The common format of the RTSP URL is: rtsp://[username:password@]ip_address[:rtsp_port]/server_URL[[?param1=val1[?param2=val2]…[?paramN=valN]]
Stream | Memory usage by camera process |

Video analytics, also known as intelligent video analytics, is software used to monitor video streams in real-time. While watching the videos, the software identifies attributes, events, and specific behavior patterns via video analysis. Video analytics software also generates automatic alerts and can facilitate businesses to identify trends, patterns, and incidents.
Tasks are a part of checklists. At Wobot.ai, we monitor tasks for compliance or non-compliance. For example, if Covid-19 is a checklist, social distancing and facemask usage are a part of this checklist and are individual tasks.
All acts of detection are known as events. For example, an employee wearing a hairnet in a restaurant is an event or, an employee not wearing a facemask in an office is also an event.
When a detection results in non-compliance, it leads to ticket generation. It means that whenever AI detects non-compliance while running a checklist, a ticket is raised for inspection and rectification by the concerned people. For example, AI would raise a ticket if it sees a person not washing their hands for 20 seconds in a restaurant kitchen. For example, AI would raise a ticket if it sees a person not washing their hands for 20 seconds in a restaurant kitchen.
All tickets are events. The difference between a ticket and an event is one between compliance and non-compliance. Every detection is an event unless non-compliance is detected, in which case it becomes a ticket. For example, the detection of an employee wearing a face mask (compliance) is an event. However, the detection of an employee without a facemask (non-compliance) would result in a raised ticket.
RTSP (Real-Time Streaming Protocol) is a network protocol designed to control streaming media. It is included on all IP cameras, NVR/DVRs and provides the flexibility to integrate video from products manufactured by one company into third-party products.
Region of Interest (ROI) narrows down AI-based detections to only the principal area. For example: Suppose you want to focus on the handwash sink area to check for handwash compliance. In such a case, you do not need AI to monitor the whole room. Here, you can simply draw the area using the ROI tool. After this, the AI will detect handwash compliance in only the ROI instead of the entire screen thus, reducing computational costs.
TAT (turn around time) is the timeframe within which a ticket raised for noncompliance should be resolved by taking appropriate action. For example, if the turnaround time is 30 minutes, you have 30 minutes to take action for the ticket. If the time limit exceeds the allotted time, the ticket becomes overdue.
